Coronado's impact was both good and bad for both the European and the native Americans. In the end he contributed more bad than good to the new world. Some good things he had an impact on were, leading a large expedition of Spaniards, and Natives through more than 5 states. Also he and his men discovered the Grand Canyon which today is a national landmark. Some of the negative impacts he had were he was part of the reason war broke out between the Native Americans and the Spanish. Because of these wars many natives Americans were killed along with some of the Spaniards that he lead. Also the 7 golden cities were not real they were just a myth, so he could have gone and found more things other than the grand canyon. He also could have prevented war with the native Americans. Coronado did not contribute very much to the Columbian exchange but he did bring new weapons such as guns, swords and other weapons made of steel to the new world. He also brought diseases such as smallpox, typhus, influenza, and measles. Also some new animals like cows, sheep, goats, and chicken. Because he did not go back to New Spain and died in the new world he could not bring back anything to Spain.
